1985: At 11 years old, NilyNils becomes involved in acrobatics and the art of juggling by joining the Children’s Circus, "Giovanni". To take part in the show, he starts practicing every day.

During that time, NilyNils gained a lot of experience in gigs such as the one at Roncalli.

1989: Together with two friends, Nils founds the juggling group "Ikarus". "Ikarus" starts performing in street shows, for private parties and festivals.

1990: The success of "Ikarus" leads to a contract with the "Opera of Hanover" where Nils starts acting as artist in different operas.

1996: After finishing school and completing his alternative service (a civilian alternative to military service), NilyNils began travelling, which led him to Sydney, Australia. That's where he decides to make his living working in the streets of Australia with his one man show.

1997: After a year of hard work in Australia, and inspired by his travelling, NilyNils returns to Germany to perform the NilyNils Show at festivals and on the streets of Germany, the Netherlands and Italy on his first European tour.

His second tour to Australia, performing in Sydney and the Adelaide Fringe Festival. (See the References section.).

1998: The second European tour, Germany, the Netherlands, Scotland (the Edinburgh Fringe Festival), Switzerland, Italy, France and Spain.

1998/99: NilyNils settles for six months in Barcelona, Spain to practice the language and to prepare his next European tour.

1999: The third Euro-Tour: Spain, France, Germany, Austria y Italy.

2000: NilyNils lives and performs in Italy where he practices a lot and improves the NilyNils-Show for the needs of the new millenium.
Followed by his now 4th Euro-Tour where he concentrates his work mostly on working in Germany, Austria, Italy and Spain.

2000/01: Since the winter 2000/01 NilyNils is based in Spain for the biggest part of the european winter where he found the best circumstances to perform and to keep working on new material.

2001-2007: During the last years NilyNils has performed on countless festivals and many other events in Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain, Macedonia and Switzerland, always looking for new scenes and challenges (see References). This way NilyNils has collected an enormous amount of experience with all types of audiences in events of all kind.

Through this many years of work and dedication NilyNils has gained prestige and respect as Artist & Entertainer in lots of different countries and he has become a point of reference for many festivals.
